Some people get Bluesnarfing and Bluebugging mixed up, so try to remember that means to steal data, and is used to control the device. The idea of Bluebugging (or device control via Bluetooth) was made only a year later. The idea of Bluesnarfing started in 2003, when Adam Laurie discovered major security flaws in the service of Bluetooth, including anonymous data stealing, database reading, and privilege escalation. If it worked, you should have a new file named bluesnarfer. cd bluesnarfer > Changes directory to the newly decompressed folder. Luckily, Bluesnarfer is pre-installed to Kali, but if it isn't installed on your distro, simply type: Most of the tools needed are build-in commands, but you will need a tool called Bluesnarfer, which steal files from the device, and Bluebugger, which controls the device. In this (hopefully) short series, we'll be attempting to hack and control a Bluetooth device from Kali. Bluetooth hacking is very easy, as security is awful low and Bluetooth was designed to be connect to.
